Welding Transformer are use in AC machine. Transformer ratings for AC machines are expressed in KVA (kilovolt-amperes). The function of transformer is to change alternating current from the power line into a low-voltage, high amperage current in secondary winding. A combination of primary and secondary winding on the transformer are use to provide adjustment of the welding current.
