Refractory Products

Refractory products are classified into four groups :-

• Plastic Refractory
• Ramming Mix Plastic Refractory
• Castable Refractory
• Gunning Refractory

Plastic Refractory is a claylike plastic material that can be plastered on the wall of the furnace and baked to solid state during operation temperature of over 1,OOO degree centigrade in the furnace. It is applied to such place where the temperature is high and fluctuates heavily.

Ramming lVlix Plastic Refractory is similar material to plastic refractory, but is more stiff than plastic refractory Its application advantage is to prevent severe abrasion due to fluctuation of high temperature where expansion and contraction of the refractory product can damage the furnace.

Castable Refractory is mixed with proper amount of water before application. It is installed by pouring into frames, or trowelling, or by gunning machine. It is solidified and strengthened at room temperature. Gunning Refractory is meant for gunning application that is used to blast the refractory material on the wall of the furnace. It is particularly effective for repair and maintenance of refractory operation systems.
