That is why we offer you a gear motor specifically designed for hygienically demanding areas which precisely matches these requirements. Bauer's hygienic drives are designed as a harmonized series, which means you can modularly combine gears of different types and sizes with motors of different types and sizes. The modular series also includes brakes and encoder options for your gear motor tailored to your requirements. Standardized stainless steel hollow shafts in various diameters are available as standard in some gear types and sizes. AM gear motor combinations feature IP67/1P69K ingress protection and a smooth surface with a special aseptic coating which complies with FDA regulations for contact with foods and is resistant to cleaning agents from pH 2 to pH 12. The transparently coated surface sheds liquids reliably and completely. The coating complies with the EHEDG-recommended surface roughness (Ra = 0.8 µm), and the series offers a variety of connection options. The unique design reduces the risk factors in your HACCP concept.
