Simultaneous opening ceremonies were held at the Main Lobby of the World Trade Center Metro Manila and the 2nd Floor Lobby Space of the SMX Convention Center Manila. The ceremonies featured the traditional ribbon-cutting, symbolizing the official opening of WORLDBEX 2026.
The ceremonies were hosted by TV host and personality Apple Grace. In his welcome remarks, Mr. Joseph L. Ang, Founding Chairman of organizing company <a href="http://www.worldbexevents.com" target="_blank">Worldbex Services International (WSI)</a>, expressed his appreciation to the event’s partners, exhibitors, and stakeholders for their continued support in making WORLDBEX a leading industry platform. The country’s premier motoring event will take place from April 9 to 12, 2026, with its main exhibition continuing at the World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) while expanding into the PTTC for the first time after eight years.

The last time PTTC served as a secondary exhibition space was during MIAS 2018, held from April 5 to 8. Since then, the facility underwent repurposing and redevelopment into a design hub. Its reopening as part of MIAS 2026 signals a symbolic homecoming for motoring enthusiasts and long-time MIAS visitors who fondly remember the venue as part of the show’s earlier expansions.
With PTTC back in the event footprint, MIAS 2026 significantly increases its exhibition capacity. The additional venue contributes over 3,000 square meters of exhibition floor space, allowing for nearly 100 additional vehicle display slots. The expansion will also house a dedicated food court and several special exhibits designed to further enhance the visitor experience.
To ensure seamless visitor movement between venues, organizers will install a custom-built, fully air-conditioned linkway that directly connects the East Wing Annex tent of the World Trade Center to the PTTC building. The PTTC, strategically located at the corner of Roxas Boulevard and Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue (formerly Buendia Avenue), will also serve as a convenient access point for guests. Visitors exiting PTTC can take advantage of a free shuttle service that will transport them either back to the World Trade Center entrance driveway or to designated nearby parking facilities.

PROJETO Ideas and Design Inter-School Competition, featuring Architect Jeffrey Dela Cruz, the first-ever winner of the competition in Manila, was introduced as a continuing platform for emerging architectural talent. The initiative reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing visionary concepts from the next generation of architects and supporting professional advancement within the fields of Architecture and Interior Design.
The World of Architecture, led by Architect Richard Garcia, Principal Architect of GALA Architecture, was presented as a venue for thought leadership and dialogue on contemporary architectural practice, global perspectives, and the future of the built environment.
As it marked its 29th year, WORLDBEX continued to strengthen its position as a cornerstone event for the construction and design industries in the Philippines. With strengthened partnerships, expanded programming, and the scale of two major venues, WORLDBEX 2026 is set to deliver another milestone edition—bringing together innovation, enterprise, and industry leadership from March 12 to 15, 2026.

Sustainability then takes the center stage at the Philippine Garden Festival, which features concepts in green architecture and environmentally responsible design. WORLDBEX Likha celebrates Filipino craftsmanship by giving local artisans a larger platform to showcase their talent. Meanwhile, The City of Tomorrow presents dioramas and conceptual displays that envision the future of urban living, while WORLDBEX Lab highlights groundbreaking innovations and industry leaders shaping the construction sector’s future.
The exposition will also feature three major pavilions: the International Pavilion, Associations Pavilion, and Embassy Pavilion, each offering unique perspectives and solutions within the global and local construction landscape.
